Boulders Bush Lodge
By private access only, we use this camp for small groups, families and their friends and for a private hideaway . The whole camp has to be reserved. There are four 2 bed and one 4 bed (2 room) thatched chalet, each en-suite and raised on stilts above the surrounding bush and nestled in a cluster of ancient granite boulders - hence the name!
There are no fences at this camp and limited facilities (no food or fuel). Boulders Bush Lodge is peaceful and has a water-hole which can be viewed from the large deck. The camp has a generous sized kitchen and dining/entertainment area where your guide will prepare meals.
The surrounding bush is Mopani habitat so traveling by open safari vehicle is a real advantage. The area hosts large herds of elephant and during the summer months when the bush is very dense one has to be extremely careful of elephants just appearing on the road, they can also be more aggressive than in other parts of Kruger National park.
Game viewing is generally good but utilisation of a guide and open safari vehicle definitely affords guests a much more rewarding experience.
